Firstly, I would like to tell you about a very important cause: Free Tony the Tiger . Go to the link to find out more about it (that is a wonderful blog that will keep you updated on the efforts to help free Tony), but briefly: Tony the Tiger is a Big Cat being kept at a 'gas station' in the US (in order to increase their profits, I assume). He is kept in a concrete area, in a cage. There are very busy roads right next to the gas station, and the concerns for Tony the Tiger's health are paramount. Concrete should not be the surface he is walking on, he should be amongst other tigers in a safer, healthier and green environment. As far as I am aware, he has lived his whole life, (10 years) at the truck stop. There are also videos on YouTube about his living conditions.
The cause has had a lot of support from famous celebrities including Leonardo Di Caprio, and the general public. And, I'm an very happy to say that the permit to let Tony the Tiger stay at the truck stop has had a permanent injunction placed on it, so that means it cannot be renewed. However, support is still needed to try to revoke the current permit as soon as possible.
Please find out more about this cause, and support it. Tigers are beautiful animals, one of God's creations, they are Big Cats, who should never be kept as pets or in an environment that is unsuitable for them. They are such an inspirational animal that have also proven fascinating for people, and I continue to pray for Tony's release from a place he should never have been in. If we can have positive and wonderful results from actions like this, hopefully it can make people think twice about doing anything like this in the future.
The suffering of animals is just as important as the suffering of people in my opinion. Both are God's creation, both creations are to be cherished and loved.
